Casey Stopa Obituary

Casey Thomas Stopa, age 29 of Fairfield, a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024.  Casey was born in Bridgeport, CT and was the sweetest little boy there could be.  He was a great brother to all of his siblings and had many friends growing up that were special to him.  Casey graduated from Fairfield Warde High School where he excelled on the wrestling mat.

Casey became extremely successful in the real estate industry at a young age with great guidance from many of his mentors at Yellowbrick Realty.  Casey went on to start his own team and led 11 real estate agents which included his sister Kaitlin, who was mentored by Casey and credits him for all her accomplishments.  The true measure of Casey’s success was the number of lives he impacted with his selflessness and kindhearted nature.  He was known for his infectious smile that would light up a room and he was an inspiration to so many.  His adventurous spirit lead him down many different paths and no matter where he went, he left a lasting impression.

One of his proudest accomplishments was his 3 years of sobriety which was another path that allowed him to help so many other people.  Casey embraced the sober lifestyle to the fullest but also knew how to have a great time when with friends or family.  He also rediscovered his Christianity at both VOX Church and most recently started attending church with his dad at Trinity Baptist in Fairfield.

Casey did not go alone; he took a piece of our hearts with him.  His memory will live on through his beloved parents, Jeffrey and Lorraine Stopa of Fairfield; his four loving siblings, Jeff Stopa and his wife Kate of Easton, Jessica Paules and her husband Derek of Fairfield, Kaitlin Fulco and her husband Steve of Trumbull and Maggie Stopa of Fairfield; his seven cherished nieces and nephews whom he adored, Dommy, Mackenna, Emerson, Charli, Sloane, Luca and Mila; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who were special to him and loved like family.

Friends may call Friday, April 5, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  A funeral service celebrating Casey’s life will be held Saturday, April 6 at 9 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 300 North Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.  In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Casey’s memory to “My Friend Abby” or “Mission Wrestle” which will grant a scholarship for deserving athletes that exhibit Casey’s traits.
