  1. As Bill’s senior English teacher at Staples High School, I was grieved to speak of the passing of a loyal son, brother, husband father and uncle. Bill was a great athlete while at Staples and a coach/supporter when his sons attended Staples. Given his wide circle of friends he will be greatly missed. I extend my sympathy to his family and will always remember him as a very “good” guy.

  2. I worked with Bill years ago at Barnaby’s in Bridgeport. He was always a great guy. Ran into him over the years when I worked at Staples. Knew his brothers too. I am sad to hear of his passing and send by warmest regards to his family.

  3. I have so many fond but distant memories of Bill and Diedre from back in the 70s when they were high school sweethearts. Bill was always smiling, teasing, joking and his athletic good looks were captivating. Diedre, I am so sad for you and your entire family. RIP Bill.

  4. I remember a basketball game Bill played against what was at the time Bedford Junior High.
I don’t remember him missing a shot. I think he scored as many points by himself as did our entire team.

  5. My heart goes out to Bill’s family. So sad to hear of his passing. He was a great guy who always had a wonderful smile and loved to laugh, at least way back in school when I knew him. He was a terrific athlete too. Rest in peace, Bill.
