How sad I was to learn of your Mother’s passing. Good for her to live to 98 years of age. I remember Grama Carey always saying she was going to live to 100, that was until she had her stroke. That changed everything for her.

Your Mother was a lovely lady. I remember her beautiful smile. She was my Mother, Marian’s, favorite cousin. Like your Mother, I was named after Grama Teresa Carey.

I have fond memories as a child of a train ride to visit your family in Brooklyn. I recall your mother preparing a picture-perfect beef roast and that your Father sliced and served us. I remember your sister, Peggy’s, giggles as we played in Auntie’s backyard on William Street and times we cousins spent enjoying Keuka Lake.

Your Mom was a great promoter of the annual Raish Family Reunions. I am certain that they lasted years longer due to her positive influence.

I know you will miss her presence here on earth but what a wonderful abundance of memories you have! They are immortal.

Take care of yourselves my cousins. This letter is sent in love and tribute to an outstanding Christian lady. May she rest in peace!

    Love,
