  1. We feel such sadness upon hearing of Steve’s passing! What a wonderful husband and father he grew to become! When I think of Steve, I think of growing up in Waterloo, and the time we spent out at the family lake. Steve would catch bulldogs and boat along with his dad and my dad! Wonderful memories to cherish! Too soon to leave us!!! Deepest sympathy! Jane and Jim Richardson

  2. Goodbye old friend. Though our paths haven’t crossed that often in the past 45 years it was always great to see you and catch up. Deb, your children, your family and friends have my deepest condolences. You will surely be missed.

  3. Deepest condolences to the Charles family and friends for the loss of your love one Stephen. Fine hope and comfort in God’s wonderful promise for the loved ones we have lost in death John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4.

  4. Sincerest condolences. I knew Steve for a little over a year and in that short timeframe came to respect him for his thoughtful counsel, guidance, and generosity. He always put others before himself and was loved by all that knew him. He will be missed dearly! J. Tracey

  5. My heart goes out to you Debbie.
Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family.
May you all find comfort in the Lord in these difficult days ahead. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May Stephen rest in peace!

  6. I would like to convey my deepest sympathies and prayers for the Charles family at this time of loss. Although my interactions with Steve were relatively sparse and brief , I always enjoyed our conversations. As a fellow Midwesterner I could appreciate his friendly and easy manner. Although we would yap about a range of subjects like sports and politics the talks always included the pride he felt for his family. He will be missed.

  7. Dear Debbie,
I just learned of your husband’s sudden death and I wanted to let you know that you will be in my prayers this evening and throughout the week. Our faith tells us of the great joy in heaven when a faithful soul returns to the Father. We, however, are left with our loss which has always been a difficulty for me when a loved one has died.
I will share in your grief and sadness and will ask St. Rose of Lima to you up to the Lord.

  8. We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Charles’ passing. He will be missed by everyone at Luigi’s Restaurant.
