He is also survived by sisters Susan Pugliese, Helen Carafa and brother Thomas Haughney as well as many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Paul J. Paul’s career started at GECC in Stamford, CT where he worked in the computer center. He moved on to Prodigy (IBM) and then where he was the manager of the NOC. Health issues forced an early retirement, allowing more time for hobbies. Paul’s interests included boating and fishing, gardening, tending to his Koi pond, his Mustang Cobra and traveling.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.

  3. Paul was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Hearing of his passing breaks my heart. Praying for Dee and family, that you can find peace knowing he’s no longer suffering. Paul will be missed dearly.

  4. Aunt Dee and Robyn, Alysha & Paul Jr.,
I am so sorry that Uncle Paul passed away. I have so many memories and fun times with him and all of you that I’ll never forget. He was a fun, sweet, loving man (he reminded me of Papa at times!). I know you and all the grandkids will miss him terribly. He was one of a kind! I would love to be there for the celebration of life because that he did – I never saw him without a smile! Love and hugs to you all! Dawn

  5. Dear Dee, Robyn, Alysha, and Paul 3,
I cannot begin to tell you the sadness I feel for you all. Paul was a mentor for me at GECC when I started on the helpdesk in 1985. He was so proud of all of you, anytime he spoke about his family he would beam. I have so many great memories of our time working together, and although life has take us in different directions, there has always been a special place in my heart for those times and all Paul taught me. Thanks again Paul, and thank you for being part of my life.

  6. Dear Dee –
Many thoughts and prayers for you and your family at this very sad time. Hold your wonderful memories close to your heart for comfort and sometimes smiles I’m sure! With sincere sympathy,
    Chris Caggianello Woods

  7. When I started @ GECC in 1980, I was in Operations 2nd shift and Paul was already there in the Network running things. He was always friendly and kind to me and willing to help me learn anything he could help me with , making it fun with his sense of humor and way of teaching. I have not seen him in many years, but will always have good memories of him when I was a young computer operator! He was 1 of many selfless and generous mentors who helped me in my career.
My condolences to his grieving loved ones at this time of loss.

  8. Dear Paul and Kerry, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Paul, you were blessed with an amazing Father and Mother. God blessed you all . Your entire family and extended family are in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
