Patricia Kane Obituary

Patricia Kane (Agnes Sheehan), age 84, of Huntington, CT, formerly of Toms River, NJ, beloved wife of the late Daniel Peter Kane, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Cassie) Sheehan, she graduated from Cathedral High School and was a dedicated worker for both the NY Telephone Company and St. John's University. Mrs. Kane lived for many years in Elmont, NY prior to moving to Toms River in 1993. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. Patricia loved playing mahjong with her many friends. Above all else, she delighted in time spent with family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her two beloved daughters, Patricia Kane Maguire of Stamford, CT and Bernadette Anne Kane of Fairfield, CT; seven loving grandchildren, Patrick, Colin, Katie, Shannon, Clare, Thomas and Conor; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Daniel, she was predeceased by her son, Daniel Kevin Kane and siblings, Sr. Mary Bernadette Sheehan, John (Buddy) Sheehan, James Sheehan and Denis Sheehan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield, CT. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. An interment service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
