Patricia Kane

Patricia Kane (Agnes Sheehan), age 84, of Huntington, CT, formerly of Toms River, NJ, beloved wife of the late Daniel Peter Kane, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Cassie) Sheehan, she graduated from Cathedral High School and was a dedicated worker for both the NY Telephone Company and St. John’s University. Mrs. Kane lived for many years in Elmont, NY prior to moving to Toms River in 1993. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. Patricia loved playing mahjong with her many friends. Above all else, she delighted in time spent with family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her two beloved daughters, Patricia Kane Maguire of Stamford, CT and Bernadette Anne Kane of Fairfield, CT; seven loving grandchildren, Patrick, Colin, Katie, Shannon, Clare, Thomas and Conor; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Daniel, she was predeceased by her son, Daniel Kevin Kane and siblings, Sr. Mary Bernadette Sheehan, John (Buddy) Sheehan, James Sheehan and Denis Sheehan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield, CT. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. An interment service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.   1. Your Mother’s obituary was in the Asbury Park Press. I had to write. She had a wonderful life. I also was born in New York (Manhattan) . I am two years older than Patricia. I also graduated from Cathedral High School and worked for the NY Telephone Co. Like so many girls in Cathedral my parents were from Ireland. Thanks for adding Cathedral High to her obituary .

    Tears are what we have for your Mom We remember u girls and your Dad and brother Danny because we three spent our together every day at St Johns U, that is Mary Giuntini, me Dottie Dredger and your Mom. We loved her because she was so much fun. Mary and I were remembering her when we got the news. For you it’s very difficult but for Pat it was a peaceful death. May she rest in peace she will be forever in our prayers. From her two pals from St. John’s ,Mary Giuntini and Dottie Dredger. Blessings, love and prayers.
