  1. Laurene & Family,
I’m not certain that I will be able to be at either the visiting hours or the funeral, I do want you to know that you are certainly in my thoughts today. I have some family commitments that will have me in Great Barrington and I’m not certain I can be in Fairfield during those specific hours. You and your husband are too young to be experiencing this tragedy. It seems as though it wasn’t so long ago that I ran in to the two of you at lunch at Sweet Basil’s. Later, when you may want to talk or just have some mature company; let’s plan to get together.

    For now, my sincere condolences,
    Carol Way

  2. Dear Laurene and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Michael was a kind and creative person who dearly loved his family and was kind and generous to everyone. He was a talented chef and I was lucky enough to enjoy some of his dishes. Michael will be missed!

  3. Dear Laurene and your family,
May all your special memories help you through these days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are
    with you.

  4. Michael was one of the “younger” LaMare’s growing up. His brother, Jimmy was my prom date and our Dads (Happy and Lynn) band provide the music. A half century has passed but I still remember that grin! My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire LaMare family and all those that were a part of his life.

  5. My sincere condolences Laurene and family. Mike (Smokey), like his brothers, will always be remembered by their big smiles and always a kind word. Missed but never forgotten.
