Michael Alrick Brown

Michael Alrick Brown (aka "Bunny"), age 59, of Bridgeport, CT, passed away at home on December 16, 2019. Michael was born in Manchester, Jamaica on January 9, 1960 to Myrtle Adassa Davis and George Samuel Brown. Michael was predeceased by - and is now reunited with - his mother Myrtle in 2014, whom he missed dearly.

Michael's kind spirit and many fond memories are carried on by his son, Daniel Brown, his daughter, Hillary Brown, and his wife, Sonia Plummer-Brown; sisters Andrea Brown and Erica Parris of Tampa, Florida, brothers Neville Brown and Bevington (aka "Morris") Brown of Stamford, Connecticut, his father George, nieces and nephews, and many friends and relatives.

Michael attended Porus Primary and Secondary school in Jamaica. He was a graduate of the apprenticeship program through the Carpenter's Local 210 and a member of the Local 210 Carpenter's Union. Michael was a beloved and humorous carpenter who owned his own carpentry business until he retired. He loved to garden, cook, play his records, watch western movies, and to share a good laugh with family and friends. After many years of illness, he is finally at peace. Michael would have liked to thank the wonderful staff at the DeVita center in Fairfield, CT who were always so kind and treated him well.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 5:00pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT. Friends and family may call on Friday from 3:00pm until the time of the service.

  1. My deepest condolences to the family. Michael lived his best life, and is now gone on to be with the Lord. He is now smiling with loved ones who went on before. No more pain. My prayer is for God to keep Sonia, Daniel and Hillary in perfect Peace as they go through this painful time. God will do it. It is well with Michael’s soul

  2. My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr Brown. I feel total sadness for such a un timely passing of a nice soul. He was a very quiet and kind person every time we interact at the local pharmacy. I pray for strength and peace to his family’s heart at this time.
