Katherine Zurkowski

Katherine Zurkowski, age 82, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully early Monday,
September 30, 2019. She was born in Stamford, on November 29, 1936, to the late Patrick
Doherty and Mary Reilly Doherty. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, who
passed in 2005. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel of Thomaston CT, Robert
(Deb) of Hollywood MD, Linda (Peter) of San Diego CA, and Glenn of Fairfield CT. The joys
of Katherine's life included her five grandchildren, David Zurkowski of Bonita Springs FL
and Rob Zurkowski of Thomaston CT (Daniel's children), Michael Zurkowski of Hollywood
MD, Matthew Zurkowski of Hollywood MD, and Megan (Nathan) Wasik of San Diego CA
(Robert & Deb's children). Katherine is predeceased by her sister, Mary Ellen and husband
Frank, and is survived by her sister Agnes (predeceased by husband Paul), and her brother
Patrick (Barbara). Katherine loved each of her many nephews and nieces, their spouses
and children. Her sweet, caring nature touched many and will be missed by all. The family
will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11am until the time of the service at 12pm at Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield CT.
