  1. I am saddened to see James pass. He is a good friend, whom I enjoyed being with. His quiet, gentle demeanor covered a strong internal courage, fighting his illnesses patiently, never complaining. James was shy, but he loved being around people. His strong faith in God was admirable and now I can pray to him. James, God bless you, your sister, and all of your family. Jerry.

  2. Dearest Alice, George & Evie Ann, I know how little words written on a page can possibly mean to you at this time. But, I must at least let you know that you are in my thoughts, my prayers and forever in my heart. I have wonderful memories of all our gatherings in Fairfield. I would always go to James register at Stew Leonards, just for a quick chat and a kiss to go. With my deepest sympathy, Betsy(Roman)Henry

  3. James was the best friend our family ever had. We cannot begin to say how much he meant to us. We considered James a member of our family. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for us. We have never known a more considerate, kind and loving person and we were blessed to have him in our lives for so many years. Words cannot being to describe the kind of person James was. His passing will be missed by all of us forever. With deepest sympathy, The Chessick, McCarthy and Marshall families
