Bridie T. McCormack

Bridget (Bridie) McInerney McCormack, age 88, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Joseph McCormack, passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2019. Born in County Galway, Ireland, the daughter of the late Michael and Winifred McInerney, she had been a Fairfield resident for many years. Bridie was a loving devoted wife and mother and avid gardener who delighted in time spent with her family and friends. She was a founding member of the Gaelic American Club and a parishioner and member of the Ladies Guild at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield. She will be sadly missed by her four devoted boys, Joseph McCormack and his companion Maureen O'Hara, of Milford, Thomas McCormack and his wife Pauline of London, England, John McCormack and Wendy Liang of New Jersey and Kevin McCormack of Stratford; three loving granddaughters, Andrea Michaels and her husband, Steve, Kelly McCormack and Caroline McCormack; four cherished great-grandchildren, Jayden, Ashlyn, Gia and Jaxton; three sisters, Maura O'Loughlin, Christina O'Donnell and Teresa McCormack; a brother, James McInerney and his wife Joan; a brother-in-law, Peter Bellew; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Bellew and brothers Michael McInerney), Martin McInerney, and Thomas McInerney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
