Alexander Bugarchich Obituary

Alexander Bugarchich, age 85 of Bridgeport, husband of the late Rita Bugarchich, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Mostar, Serbia, the son of the late Peter and Hermina Bugarchich, he had been a Bridgeport area resident since 1953. Alexander served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. He retired from Sikorsky aircraft after being with them for almost 30 years as a specialized Auto CAD engineer. Mr. Bugarchich was an avid boater and a member of the Miamoque Yacht Club. He was a member of the Numerical Control Society and was also a gifted and talented artist. Survivors include three children, Svetlana Kirbi of Brookline, MA, Alexander O. Bugarchich of Stratford and Gabi Moutinho and her husband Carlos of Stratford; a sister, Christine Bugarchich of Stratford; five grandchildren, Dushan, Natalija Ladd and her husband Christopher, Sasha, Joseph and Zoey; a great-grandchild Jovan and nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Rita, he was predeceased by two daughters, Ljiljana and Sofija and a brother, Misha Bugarchich. Services will be held in private for the family.
